Choose ANY art museum in the world.  Don’t limit your tour to museums that you are familiar with, you can “travel” anywhere!!!

Choose one of the following to document your museum tour
  • Draw a thumbnail sketches of 3 artworks
  • Describe the artwork and why you chose it
  • Write a narrative about the tour of the museum
  • Record a video of your favorite works and tell me why you liked them.  You can use (screen castify for this) or record on your phone and chrome book.
  • Look up a museum on google maps and draw the street view.

Once you complete your “project” post it to your class blog.

Land Art - Andy Goldsworthy style - Part 2

This week we will go outside and make artwork from natural objects in the Andy Goldsworthy style. Experiment with leaves, flowers,stones, sticks, dirt or any natural material you have available. You can combine the different materials as well. You can make it as simple or as complex as you would like.

When you're're done  take 3 photos from from different angles pictures of your work and upload them to a new blog post.

Andrew Goldsworthy - Part 1

This week we will learn about a very interesting artist named Andy Goldsworthy.

After answering some questions about his life and work you will go outside and create your own artwork based on his style of nature art.

Goldsworthy uses nature and natural settings to create a wide range of artworks.

Here is a cool project that he created last year at the Nelson Atkins museum in Kansas City.
